With the world of live events and mass public gatherings recently completely shut down, there will be a great deal of apprehension concerning public health and safety for those considering attending future events.

So what have we learned, who do we trust, and what do we need to do? Visions in style is leading the way in creating a bio management health and safety plan that can be rolled out in part or in full for future live events.

Firstly with every event, we need to understand the potential risks. Communication and transparency is everything. If you are feeling unwell or sick, stay home. If you feel like you are missing out, tune in via the live stream, don’t put yourself or anyone else at risk. Take health seriously.

So our plan begins with choosing a suitable venue. Choose a venue that is larger than you require so that social distancing practices can be incorporated. Make sure there is plenty of airflow, Out door events are preferable.

Create more bars and service stations so guests don’t crowed in certain areas.

Use sneeze guards for food stations and have the chefs serve the food instead of guests helping themselves, (No more smorgasbord boards or help yourself stations).

Incorporate Hygiene protocols for all event staff and highlight these along with the placement of them in the house keeping speech.

Have your guests greeted on arrival with a warm sanitized hand towel before offering them a drink.

Implement hygiene stations throughout the event space which include tissues, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, face masks and flip top rubbish bins at the entrance ways, toilets, bars and seating areas. These areas can be themed to suit the venue the theme or the specific occasion.

Sanitize the venue, furniture and decor, bars and food stations, bathrooms and kitchen before the event and post cleaning staff to work within the event space to maintain the highest hygienic measures throughout the event.

All third parties suppliers, entertainers and security are required to sanitize all equipment and persons as well as attend an onsite induction for health and safety protocols.

Kitchen staff and food handlers will require their own hygiene check list depending on the venue and its resources. Just because the caterers or establishment may be five star, doesn’t mean they should be trusted!

All aspects of food service and staff will require full supervision and all service staff need to be fully briefed on the latest hygiene protocols prior to starting.

For those really serious about identifying any potential threat to your guests, Consider thermal bio imaging and screening, this technology will read the temperature of your guests as they approach the event and continue to scan and monitor the audience throughout the event.

Also localised portable temperature measuring and screening stations can be incorporated into the registration desk and cloak rooms for discretion.

These measures also involve a professional and discreet safe identification, isolation and evacuation process that will be customized per event and based on a risk evaluation before recommending required measures.

A secure and private room will be required for any guests that are asked to separate themselves from the event for further evaluation and assessment.

The introduction of social tracking apps to follow the interactions on infected people weather you have come in contact with someone that is, or has shown to be positive for an infectious disease can also be incorporated into the guest list. In addition, free event contact to check their current health status.

Live streaming is also an option for those guests that are unable to attend the event or may be feeling unwell.

All live feeds can be moderated onsite and professionally edited to provide the viewer the highest quality of live coverage. Featuring titles and credits, vision of the red carpet and media walls, formal presentations and key messages, roving room shots, entertainment and hosted vox pop messages from guests as they are asked to comment on relevant issues associated with the event.

So as you can see there is a lot to think about and a lot to take seriously.

We hope that these measures won’t last forever but at the moment these practices and solutions are relevant to the current climate we are forced to deal with.
